Desi Divas

Accessibility

Our published information for visitors and ticket holders.

Published version 1. Updated 01/10/2026.

We want the Desi Divas website and event to be usable by as many people as possible. Contact accessibility@desidivas.org.uk for an accessible format, help with booking or ticket access, or to report a barrier. An alternative to email is write to Desi Divas at the organisation correspondence address shown in the Privacy notice, marking your envelope General enquiries, Accessibility, Privacy or Safeguarding as appropriate. Include a safe way for the responsible organiser to reply. Postal correspondence is not suitable for urgent concerns. Tell us what you need and how you would prefer us to respond; you do not need to put medical information in a general support message.

The event is at Blue Room, 220 Headstone Ln, Harrow HA2 6LY. The venue has confirmed step-free access and an accessible toilet for this event. Contact the organisers before booking if you need specific seating, assistance or further access information so your requirements can be discussed individually. The event includes a meal served at tables. Specific seating and assistance should be discussed with the organisers individually; a website request is not confirmation of an arrangement.

We use WCAG 2.2 AA as the engineering target for the website. No independent accessibility audit or certified conformance is claimed. Confirmed event information is provided as web text as well as on the poster. Online checkout and Contact Us require JavaScript and a security check; the secure booking return also needs browser session storage. Payment takes place on Stripe's hosted checkout, whose interface is provided by Stripe. PDF tickets and QR codes may not meet every visitor's assistive-technology needs; keep the web ticket link and contact us if you need another format or help at entry. Do not send payment-card details by email or in a general contact message.

If a browser control, security check, document or payment step prevents you using the service, use the assistance route above and explain the barrier and your preferred way to communicate. You do not need to disclose a diagnosis to ask for assistance. Specific assistance or an alternative format needs to be agreed with the organiser before relying on the arrangement.

Optional accessibility needs are collected separately through the private attendee requirements form with your explicit consent and restricted access. You can update or withdraw that consent. Please contact us before travelling if your needs require a specific venue arrangement.
